Inside the Infoxchange AI Hackathon: Collaboration for Real-world Impact

Recently, 18 team members from across Infoxchange came together at EY’s Melbourne office for an AI Hackathon

The Challenge?
Reimagine how we manage enquiries using AI with a focus on efficiency, empathy, and accessibility.

How we worked:
We formed three diverse cross-functional teams, uniting people from Finance, People & Culture, Marketing, App Support, Dev, AI & Data, and Systems Engineering, many of whom don’t usually work side by side. The result? Fresh thinking, new connections, and a big leap forward in how we collaborate.

The Solutions:
Each team tackled the challenge from a different angle, exploring website design, internal triage, automation flows and more, with the groups developing practical solutions to assist help-seekers access the support they need faster.
